The Foundation is pleased to announce the Sarolta Kodály Scholarship donated by Mrs. Zoltán Kodály for the academic year 2024-2025.
This full tuition scholarship will be granted to a worthy candidate accepted in one of the full-time study programmes of the Kodály Institute (MA, BA or non-degree).
Important conditions:
The scholarship is meant for candidates wishing to study in the full academic year programme of the Kodály Institute.
Applicants wishing to study in the MA programme of the Institute are preferred.
It is given primarily for second year study at the Institute but also open to candidates who have already participated in the Kodály Seminar in Kecskemét or in any short course organized elsewhere by the Institute.
Cost of living (room and board) and other expenses related to the study programme must be covered by the recipient.
Applicants must prove to have a solid musical background, a diploma in music, fundamental knowledge of the Kodály concept of music education and some years of teaching experience.
Application documents must include:
– a completed application form (the form can be downloaded from here)
– a detailed professional curriculum vitae
– two letters of recommendation in English on this form, and
– a letter of motivation.
Application deadline: 15 April, 2024. Applicants will be notified by 7 June, 2024, the latest.
Applications must be sent to the Foundation for the Kodály Institute at foundation@kodaly.hu.
Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Decision of the Board is irreversible. The Board reserves the right to withhold the scholarship.
Applicants are requested to inform the Foundation if they received a scholarship from elsewhere.
The winning applicant will be requested to send in a written report before the end of the academic year.
