Bacon-Erdei Scholarship for the 31st International Kodály Seminar in 2022

 

Due to the cancellation of the  31st International Kodály Seminar in 2020, the issuing of the Bacon-Erdei Scholarship has also been cancelled.

In order to remind everyone of the original intention and to avail interested US citizens of the advantages of this unique opportunity, we open the Scholarship once again. Those who applied in 2020 should – in case of interest – submit their application again.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1st International Kodály Seminar (1970) in Kecskemét,
and to commemorate the centenary of the birth of the  American pianist and music educator, co-founder of the Kodály Musical Trainig Institute (1969) and founder of the Kodály Center of America (1977) in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Ms. Denise Bacon,

the Foundation for the Kecskemét Kodály Institute has the great pleasure of

announcing 3 full scholarships (registration and participation fee)
for exclusively American citizens (minimum 22 year olds)

at the 31st International Kodály Seminar
held between 18 July and 29 July, 2022 in Kecskemét, Hungary

Applicants are requested to submit

  • the application form (please download it from here),
  • a mission statement,
  • a professional CV,
  • two professional recommendations,
  • a photocopy of the highest school certificate/degree, and
  • a photo.

Please submit your application by email to foundation@kodaly.hu no later than 20 May, 2022.
Decision will be communicated by the beginning of June.
